Duties:

An Air Traffic Flight Services Officer III is mainly deployed to undergo training for performing Air Traffic Flight Services Officer’s duties in the following areas :

1. providing technical support to the Air Traffic Control Centre, Control Tower and Aeronautical Information Management Centre;
2. assisting in the conduct of technical researches/studies;
3. handling slot requests, performing slot monitoring activities, answering enquires, handling complaints and compiling statistics thereof; and
4. assisting in the conduct of audits and inspections to aviation-related activities.

An Air Traffic Flight Services Officer III is required to work shifts on a 24-hour basis.

A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, the officer may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.

3. assist in identifying necessary training services to be procured to meet the legislative and regulatory requirements as well as the ICAO recommendations with the implementation of 3RS operation, handling and overseeing procurement of aviation training services for ATC-related personnel to fulfill the 3RS operation requirements;
4. coordinate and communicate with the local and overseas training service providers, and to assist in reviewing, assessing and updating the procurement terms and conditions to ensure compliance with required procurement regulations and standards to suit the 3RS operation; and
5. perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

$11,200 per month

Terms of Appointment :

Summer interns are engaged under non-civil service appointment. They are normally required to work 44 hours per week, inclusive of meal break.

Fringe Benefits :
